Sun and Sand Meetpoint

Sun, sand, volleyball net…
What else do you need for having a wonderful day on the beach with nice people?!
Oh yeah, maybe barbeque, as well.
The hard-working and sporty boys from the Vierslag left earlier than anyone else to set up the volleyball field on the small beach of Geersdijk.
By the way, just a day before this, two of our guys, Jonas and Paul, won the first prize in soccer competition in Rilland. There were 6 teams playing, adults and children together. Soon after they started, we knew that our boys would rock, and they did. Mostly likely, because they had the most wonderful cheerleaders on the bench. They got chocolate medals as a reward, and they haven’t eaten them, yet :)
Back to the beach!
By the time everybody arrived, the boys had  already prepared everything and made the fire for the BBQ. We started playing and it became obvious that wherever Diego was playing, his team was winning. We tried to change members, added extra members to the other team, nothing worked. His team was still winning. But that’s not important, we laughed a lot and had a wonderful time. Running after the ball to prevent its falling into the water, getting wet when bringing the ball from the water…  Sand in your hair, sand in your clothes, the real feeling of summer and it’s not even summer yet.
BBQ masters Hadi, Jonas and Matt fed the hungry “crowd” with yummy hamburgers, hotdogs and  fries. After eating there was no way to go back playing, all we wanted to do was to lie in the sun and enjoy the mild breeze.
This was not the end of getting wet and summer spirit. As we  forgot to use our water balloons on the beach, we used them during the meetpoint. Luckily not inside, but outside :)

We all finally had our so long desired piece of summer which we call a meetpoint!
